UpCycle at JP Licks – in Brookline!

(Thank you to JP Licks for hosting my art in Brookline Jan-May 2021)

Today I completed the UpCycle installation at JP Licks in Coolidge Corner. It is a larger store than Cambridge and I was able to feature additional works. I created two new works for the installation (the others all came over form the Cambridge JP Licks store display).

Right Round is a pendulum clock mounted on a green frame (homage to the faux grass wall in Harvard Sq)

In Motion features a clock mounted on a seat post mounted to the (yellow) frame with a single point of attachment; the seat post rotates, while the clock hangs freely and always stays properly oriented for telling time.

(and if you were wondering – I got the Cookies and Cream ice cream)

JP Licks… LIVE!

(Thank you JP Licks for hosting my exhibit in Cambridge Aug 2020 – Jan 2021)

Last Thursday morning was spent on a ladder in the Harvard Square JP Licks store hanging the UpCycle art exhibit. I chose 6 works, including Tenedor (fork), which I made specifically for this installation. The bright colors and bold writing on the carbon fork seemed well suited for enjoying the great ice cream at JP Licks (including my favorite, El Diablo – available seasonally).

Please stop by, enjoy the art – and of course the coffee and ice cream.

Art and Ice Cream – JP Licks in Harvard Sq

I’m delighted to announce that JP Licks has selected my art for display in the Harvard Sq store from August thru December 2020!
The exhibit will focus on upcycled bicycle parts mounted on reclaimed lumber. I will post photos, but there’s nothing like seeing the works in person. Please stop by JP Licks Harvard Sq to enjoy them! Pieces will also be available for purchase.
Oh, and of course — don’t forget to get some ice cream! (I won’t!)

Virtual Museum Tour

The coronavirus pandemic has been a difficult time. I want to take this opportunity to wish my readers well and encourage the use of face covering and social distancing. While museums across the region are closed, I was able to bring the museum to the viewer through a serious of short videos. Thank you to Bob Perry, Director at the Charles River Museum who let me in with my iPhone and tripod to narrate a tour of my works. A little home video-editing later, here’s the 3-part series. Enjoy!
